Camping

From beachside caravan parks to bush camping spots, Yorke Peninsula has plenty of camping options at some of the most beautiful coastal and inland areas.

The caravan parks on Yorke Peninsula are set up not only for caravanners or those in cabins, but also have excellent facilities for camping and camper trailers.

Yorke Peninsula Council has 15 bush camping sites...some are free and some have a small fee but all sites require a permit.

Bush camping is available - from The Gap, and south along the western coastline and under the foot to Goldsmith’s Beach.  All camping locations can be viewed online.

Camping permits can be purchased from the Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information Centre, Minlaton - online or by phone 1800 202 445; or at any of the Yorke Peninsula Council offices.

Of the coastal camping spots looked after by council, only Burners Beach, Gleeson’s Landing and The Gap offer toilet facilities.  Camp fires are permitted, provided there is no fire ban; but make sure you’re aware of current fire regulations

Innes National Park has plenty of camping options at Browns Beach, Cable Bay, Casuarina, Gym Beach, Pondalowie Bay, Shell Beach and Stenhouse Bay. Camping permits for Innes National Park must be purchased online or from Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information Centre, Minlaton or Port Vincent Caravan Park & Seaside Cabins.

Hillocks Drive is one of the best known natural bushcamping locations on Yorke Peninsula, with 7km of scenic coastline.  Bring your swag, tent, caravan or camper trailer, there’s plenty of space for a secluded getaway as well as camping in large groups. Or, if you prefer glamping...why not try their Ocean Pod?
