With 4 days off and some warmer-than-usual weather this time of year, whatever you decide on – a day trip, one, two or three nights away on the Yorke Peninsula will be all you need to relax, refresh and enjoy time with loved ones this Easter.
 

Easter Events

The Institute of Art at Port Vincent Exhibition
When
Friday 14 – Monday 17 April, 10am-4pm
Where Port Vincent Town Hall
Join other locals and visitors for this 4-day exhibition. Three generations of the Parsons family, Marie, Allyson and Henry are busy in their studios, immersed in their craft. With other invited artists they will showcase works including hand crafted woven baskets, high class jewellery made from reclaimed and recycled materials, kiln formed glass, original gouache, acrylic and pastel artworks and alpaca products. The exhibition will be open daily, featuring fashions by Catherine Hunter on Saturday only. Morning tea will be available each day for you to linger and admire the handcrafted works!

Annual Coastal Patrol Fishing Competition
When
Saturday 15 April, registration 6am, weigh in 12pm-5pm, presentations 7pm
Where Port Victoria
Cost In boat: $10 per adult, $5 per child, Jetty fishers: $5 per person
This is a great family friendly event to get your kids out and about! A fun day of fishing will be had with the Coastal Patrol shed acting as a bustling hub to relax. Grab something from the BBQ and a drink from the bar. There will be exciting games for the kids too!

Copper Coast Miniature Train Rides
When
Sunday 16 April, 10am-3pm
Where The Farm Shed Museum and Tourist Centre, Kadina
Bring the kids for a ride on the miniature Copper Coast trains! Closed footwear is required – the cost is $2 per ride with Devonshire tea available for purchase! Follow the signs from the roundabout in Kadina.

Moonta Model Aero Club Annual Public Flying Day

Sunday 16 April, 10am-2pm
Where Moonta Model Aero Club, Moonta
Spend your blissful Easter Sunday at Moonta Model Aero Club for their annual flying day. It will be held on Sandercock Road, off Mines Road.

Sunday Sounds

A Sunday music program to promote local artists! This Easter Sunday Toucan2 will play – enjoy live music and food and drink at the Deck & Bar Café.

 

MARKETS, STALLS AND POP UPS

Stansbury Bazaar
When
Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 April, 9am-4pm
Where Stansbury Institute, Stansbury
Morning and afternoon tea will be available with lots of stalls offering great finds. Benefits will go to Stansbury Museum. $1 entry to the Bazzar.

Stansbury Seaside Market
When
Saturday 15 April, 9am-2pm
Where Anzac Parade, Stansbury
These award-winning markets are the perfect mixture of bustle and tranquility. Explore the stalls lined along the picturesque foreshore of the coastal town of Stansbury on the east coast. From October to April, every Saturday morning the market showcases a brilliant range of local produce such as fresh oysters, homemade preserves, pastries, herbs, spices and more. You’ll also find unique wares on offer such as candles, oils, art, books, clothes and other knick knacks. Grab some goodies and spread out on the lawn for a picnic or make use of the picnic tables under the shade of gorgeous Moreton Bay Fig Trees.

Warooka Easter Market

Another great community market to attend in the quaint town of Warooka. Proceeds will go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Southern Yorke Peninsula Support group.

Dusty Rusty

Where Pitt Street, Stansbury
Find a range of vintage motor cars, tractors, motorcycles, boats and machinery. Entry is free!

Easter Pancake Breakfast and Trash and Treasure
When
Saturday 15 April, from 8:30am
Where Community Hall, Hardwicke Bay
Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with locals. A sausage sizzle will also be available!

Port Clinton Pancakes
When
Saturday 15 April, from 9am
Where Old School, Devon Street, Port Clinton
Pancakes for all – everyone is welcome! $5 per person for breakfast.

Easter Saturday Breakfast

Saturday 15 April, from 7:30am-9:30am
Where Ventnor Hotel, Port Vincent
Enjoy a breakfast in the Lounge Bar for $12 per person, children 8-10 years can eat for $8 with all proceeds going to the Port Vincent Progress Association.

Easter Local Produce Market

Saturday 15 April, 9am-2pm
Where Wauraltee Hall, Wauraltee
Graze the Easter special edition of Wauraltee’s local produce market. Find bric-a-brac as well as fresh produce. Devonshire tea will be available.

Rock n Roll and Old Style Dance
When
Saturday 15 April, 8pm-11pm
Where Wauraltee Hall, Wauraltee
Bring a plate of supper to share and get toe tapping with rock and roll dancing and great music!

Corny Point Easter Sunday Market
When
Sunday 16 April, 10am-2pm
Where Memorial Hall, Corny Point
Browse the stalls, admire the display of historic photos, pick up a Devonshire tea and a sausage sizzle for lunch. There will be ceramic painting activities for the kids, with lots of stalls and live entertainment. Entry fee is a $2 donation to the Corny Point Progress Association. Children entry is free.

Coastal Patrol Market and Car Boot Sale
