Discover outdoor adventure experiences

When we say South Australia's playground - we really mean it. Yorke Peninsula is where you can let the spirit of adventure take over.

Fish from the jetties, rake secluded beaches for succulent seafood, hire a kayak or paddleboard and explore another side of our famous beaches. Expert local guides will make sure you make the most of your Yorke Peninsula adventure - from deep sea fishing charters to off-grid exploration of Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park.

Fishing, Boating and Crabbing

Generations of anglers have made memories and enjoyed phenomenal fishing conditions on Yorke Peninsula. Bring your own boat, book a fishing charter or just enjoy the jetties.

Step off the beach and into the shallows to chase one of Yorke Peninsula's bucket list adventures - raking your own blue swimmer crabs. If you're short on equipment or experience, join Catch N Cook Tours in Ardrossan and they'll show you the ropes.

Please be mindful of legal size and bag limits, to ensure our abundant seafood is here for generations to come.

Adventure Experiences

What does adventure mean to you?

Is it the power of an 80 ft super maxi yacht in full sail? Or rising before dawn to greet the sunrise from the water on a hosted paddleboard tour? Get off-road on a hosted eco-tour or leave the car behind and hire an e-bike for the day and rediscover the childhood thrill of coasting along the coast. Operators also hire a range of snorkle equipment, kayaks and even marina berths so you can BYOB (bring your own boat!).

For the ultimate off-grid adventure, check out all nineteen bush camping spots across Yorke Peninsula. With simple amenities but breathtaking vistas, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

Trails

Yorke Peninsula has a huge and diverse range of trails, including the well-marked 500km walking and cycling trail Walk the Yorke. Bushwalks, clifftop and shoreline rambles, unique geology trails, all with a wonderful array of birdlife and wildlife, history and heritage along the way.

There's even an underwater shipwreck trail for dive enthusiasts!

The stunning Yorke Peninsula Salt Lake Trail brings together four selected routes, offering up the most picture perfect vantage points of these natural wonders.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
