Getting Here & Around

Yorke Peninsula is an easy drive north of Adelaide. The driving is easy and best of all, once you are here there are no traffic lights.

It's only two and a half hours drive from top to bottom and around 30 - 40 minutes from coast to coast. Close proximity between towns and attractions on Yorke Peninsula makes for a leisurely drive, so travel at your own pace, stop when you want and enjoy the sights!

Bus Services

Coach companies operate regular services to a number of towns on Yorke Peninsula, departing from the Adelaide Central Bus Station on Franklin Street.  View the Bus SA Timetable.

Yorke Peninsula Coaches operate a Southern Yorke Peninsula Passenger Service that travels between Yorketown and Kadina weekly.

Taxis

Yorke Peninsula has 2 taxi services that operate within the Copper Coast area. Copper Triangle Taxis operate in Kadina, Moonta, Wallaroo and surrounding areas, and have wheelchair accessible vehicles and a small bus. Phone 08 8821 3444.

Moonta Taxis provide transport within the Copper Coast area, as well as trips to Adelaide and airport transfers. Phone 0488 661 150.

Car Hire

Yorke Peninsula doesn't have any car hire facilities in the region so if you are looking to hire a car, we recommend hiring a vehicle in Adelaide.

Budget Rent a Car, Europcar, Access Rent-a-Car, Avis, Excel network Rent a Car, Redspot, Smile Rent a Car and Thrifty Car Rental are just some of the car hire companies in and around Adelaide.

Once you are here, the driving is easy and its a short leisurely drive between towns and attractions.

Summer - Coastal sea breezes with temperatures averaging 15°C minimum to 30°C maximum 

Autumn - Warm sunny days with temperatures averaging 12°C minimum to 23°C maximum 

Winter - Cool temperatures averaging 7°C minimum to 16°C maximum
