The main street of Port Broughton originally facilitated the rail line access to the Port Broughton Jetty from Mundoora.

Today it is an open space that houses the town's main commercial precinct. You will find cafes, deli's, a plant nursery, second hand shops, Barunga West Council Office, hairdresser, butcher, real estate agents, petrol station and the local Hotels.
