The Sole Walk: Hillocks Drive, Butler’s Beach

The Sole Walk is a linear 5 hour walk from Butlers Beach to Kangaroo Island Lookout and return OR, Butlers Beach to Meehan Lookout and return.

These one-day walks pass spectacular coastline adjacent to Hillocks Drive, a real highlight of Yorke Peninsula's Walk the Yorke. Experience the rugged coastline, quiet sandy beaches and pristine rock pools. Enjoy the wildlife, marine life and spectacular bird-watching.

This is a challenging walk (category 3) due to need to traverse rocky beach line. The walk is for sure-footed walkers wearing sturdy foot wear. Plan the walk with the prevailing wind behind you for greater enjoyment.

Pack your lunch, snack and good supply of water. Pack your bathers to cool off in one of many rockpools on hot summer days. There is a shelter with BBQ for a lunch stop.
