Getting to Yorke Peninsula

Yorke Peninsula is an easy drive north of Adelaide. The driving is smooth and best of all, once you are here there are no traffic lights.

It's only two and a half hours drive from top to bottom and around 30 to 40 minutes from coast to coast.

Bus Services

Yorke Peninsula Coaches operate regular services to a number of towns on Yorke Peninsula, departing from the Adelaide Central Bus Station on Franklin Street.  

Ferry

To make the most of your South Australian travel experience, you may like to include a journey on Spencer Gulf Searoad, a ferry service operating across Spencer Gulf between Wallaroo, Yorke Peninsula and Lucky Bay, Eyre Peninsula.

The ferry makes return trips daily, giving visitors the opportunity to travel in safety and comfort between the two Peninsula's.

Taxi

Yorke Peninsula has 3 taxi services that operate within the central Yorke Peninsula and Copper Coast areas. 

Copper Triangle Taxis operate in Kadina, Moonta, Wallaroo and surrounding areas, and have wheelchair accessible vehicles and a small bus. Phone 08 8821 3444.

Moonta Passenger & Taxi Services provides a fixed fare 7 day a week taxi service to Moonta, Kadina and Wallaroo and surrounding towns offering friendly service and 2 mini buses. Adelaide Airport transfers available. Major credit cards and CabCharge accepted.  Phone 0447 528 000.

Tim’s Taxis services Ardrossan and surrounding areas.  All major credit cards accepted, and transfers to Adelaide are available. Phone 0447 770 012.

Car Hire

Yorke Peninsula doesn't have any car hire facilities in the region so if you are looking to hire a car, we recommend hiring a vehicle in Adelaide.
