Just 4 km from Port Moorowie (via Green Hill Road and unsealed Mozzie Flat Road—watch for corrugations), Mozzie Flat Campground offers a small, peaceful escape. With generous sites but limited turning space, it's best suited for smaller setups (first-come, first-served).
A short 30-meter walk through sandy dunes leads to Sharples Beach, perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, and beach walks. The shore is mostly sandy, though a nearby reef and occasional seaweed add to its natural charm.
A toilet is provided, but self-sufficient camping is recommended. The nearest bin bank is at Weaners Flat in Yorketown (off Stansbury Road). Yorketown offers a full range of amenities, including a supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, bakery, hotels, petrol station, hospital, and library.
A quiet, off-the-beaten-path retreat for those seeking solitude by the sea!

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
