The Bamboos Campground is located approximately 8km from Balgowan. Follow Schwartz Road for approximately 1km, before turning left onto coastal track for approximately 7km (you’ll pass the Tiparra Rocks Campground on your right after approximately 3km). Alternatively, this campground is accessible via The Gap campground, which is only 3km to the north.

This campground is located at the base of sand dunes, which provide protection from any on-shore winds. Beach access is a short climb over the dunes, or pause halfway to admire the elevated view of the ocean.

The closest bin bank and dump point are at Maitland Oval. Maitland has many facilities, including: a supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, hotel, petrol station, police station, museum, ATMs, hospital, various shops, skate park, playground, Visitor Information Outlet and much more.
