The Men’s Shed is a community run workshop for anyone who would like to learn wood working or access the equipment. Visitors are welcome to come in, stay for a coffee & have a chat with the team.

For just $2 a day you can come along and help out with the production of wooden toys, dog kennels, rabbit hutches, toy boxes, rockers and the many other beautiful things made. Otherwise feel free to bring your own project along and just pay for the materials you use.

Beautiful handcrafted wooden toys are being made out of our Maitland Men’s Shed. They are available to purchase from the Maitland Markets.

We take orders. If you have something in particular that you would like made, or like one of are standard products but with a few modifications just have a chat with us and we would be more than happy to work with you to make something you prefer.

As well as creating all of this beautiful wood work, members of the shed are responsible for
keeping Centennial Park and the overnight stay area tidy, weeding out feral trees at the town entrances.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
