Tucked along The Esplanade just up from the Point Turton Caravan Park, the Point Turton Nature Playground and Bike Track is a coastal gem perfect for families exploring the Yorke Peninsula. Re-opened in 2019 after a thoughtful upgrade, this nature-inspired play space blends seamlessly with its seaside setting, offering a variety of features to engage children of all ages.

Highlights include a hill slide, toddler-friendly slides, timber-frame swings, a nest swing, and an array of wooden climbing and balancing structures, encouraging active, imaginative play. Kids can cook up adventures in the rustic timber play kitchen, dig and explore with the sand and water play area, or test their coordination on logs and stepping paths. A manual water pump adds an interactive element kids love.

Overlooking the park is a dirt bike track carved into the hill, great for young riders wanting to cut laps before a scenic beachside cycle. Shaded picnic shelters, natural seating, and nearby public toilets make this a comfortable stop for families. A large tree with seating beneath it provides the perfect rest spot for parents.

Although the park isn't fenced, it's set back from a quiet road and offers plenty of space to explore. Whether you're passing through or staying nearby, this charming play space is a must-visit pit stop.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
