The St Margaret's Catholic Church, Port Broughton is part of the Parish of Kadina and the Diocese of Port Pirie. The effort for the construction of the Catholic church building was largely through the efforts of Mrs Margaret Klingengberg, and the church was named St Margaret's in recognition of her contribution. The church was blessed and opened by the Very Rev Fr Elias Magennis on 14/9/1902. This church is one of the two remaining churches in Port Broughton and is located at 22 Mckay St Port Broughton. The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
