The Sir Richard Williams KBE, CB, DSO statue is located in Queen Square in the centre of Moonta. The spectacular statue is designed for you to join him and have a seat. It is interactive, educational, inspiring and part of the community, passing on the message of the RAAF Centenary "Then Now Always." The bronze statue is by sculptor Tim Thomson.
Moonta Mines is the birthplace of Sir Richard Williams, he is known as the "Father of the RAAF"
