Discover the art of silversmithing with artisan jeweller Jasmine Swales at Swales Silver, based within Studio Surf Gallery Café in Marion Bay on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula.

Inspired by the ocean and coastal treasures, Jasmine creates handcrafted jewellery using sterling silver, sea glass, shells, beach fossils and other natural materials. Her jewellery is available to purchase at Studio Surf, or you can join her for a hands-on jewellery-making workshop and create your own one-of-a-kind piece.

Regular workshops involve creating a custom sterling silver ring or pendant incorporating locally collected sea glass or another flat-backed stone. Jasmine guides you through the process, teaching techniques including sawing, soldering, forming, stone setting and polishing. No previous experience is required.

Other experiences, including stacker ring making and traditional cuttlefish casting, are also available.

Jasmine also has a mobile studio and can bring the workshop to you. Private sessions can be arranged at holiday houses, retreats, workplaces, events or your own home, making a unique experience for groups, couples, friends and special occasions.

Whether you visit Marion Bay or Jasmine brings the studio to you, you'll leave with a piece of jewellery you've made yourself.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
