Warooka Mural Trail
Yorke Peninsula
Free
Discover Warooka through a collection of vibrant murals celebrating the town's coastal environment, farming heritage, wildlife, history and community.
The Warooka Mural Trail takes visitors around the township and surrounding area to discover large-scale artworks created through a series of community arts projects led by local artist and muralist Jason Swales.
The eight murals feature coastal, underwater, landscape and historic scenes, as well as wildlife and subjects that are important to the local area.
Some of the works were created collaboratively, bringing together local children, community members, emerging artists and visiting artists to share ideas and contribute to the finished artworks. Collaborating artists and participants have included Rachelle Plazeriano, Stephen Renfrey, Harley Hall, Lianne Cook, Jasmine Swales and student artists Adelaide Wright, Lauren Shepley, Maya Swales and Mila Tarnowskyj.
The trail offers a unique way to explore Warooka while discovering the stories, creativity and community connections behind its public art.
Allow time to explore the town, find the seven murals and enjoy the local shops and surrounding Yorke Peninsula landscape.
