GROUNDED - Creative Healing

Yorke Peninsula

Free
Karens journey with painting has been profoundly transformative, offering her a creative outlet and relief from the challenges of her acquired brain injury (ABI).

Each artwork she creates reflects her courage, perseverance, and the joy of embracing individuality. By framing and sharing her pieces, Karen inspires others to see art as a bridge to connection and self-expression. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience, the importance of being true to ourselves, and the bravery to try new things.

Join Karen as she launches her first ever solo exhibition and speaks about her journey into the creative healing of art, proudly supported by Country Arts SA, Regional Arts Fund.

The exhibition is open every day of GROUNDED from 1-3pm. The artist talk will take place on Saturday 16th August, 1pm-3pm.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
