Twenty-five years ago, the legendary 80-foot Maxi Yacht Brindabella secured her place in Australian sailing history, claiming line honours in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

This year, she added to her legacy by taking line honours in the 2024 Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race, reaffirming her status as one of Australia’s most iconic racing yachts.

Affectionately known as "The People's Maxi" Brindabella is the only yacht of her class officially recognised by the Australian Maritime Museum as a vessel of historical significance. Now, she calls Adelaide and the Yorke Peninsula home.

This Easter long weekend, Brindabella will sail to Port Vincent, basing herself at Dockside Port Vincent. Locals and visitors alike are invited aboard for an unforgettable sailing experience, open to guests aged 10 and over.

Family-Friendly Event - Children sail for half price when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

Brindabella is a fully licensed venue with an onboard bar serving premium South Australian beverages. Drinks are available for purchase throughout the journey, with payment by cash or card at the end of the sail.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
