Pacific Estate Oysters

Yorke Peninsula

Pacific Estate Oysters are "paddock to plate" artisans of the ocean. The perfect combination of luxury and adventure. Discover the intense freshness of Oysters grown in serene waters over natural sea-grass meadows.

Love oysters and want to learn more? Pacific Estate Oysters is a working oysters farm on Yorke Peninsula that provides volunteer "crew" experiences.

We offer small group adventures (up to 4 people) where you can get in the water and up close and personal with these delicious creatures. Learn about the history of the oyster industry in South Australia. Learn how these creatures are grown and processed (we have 3 leases on the spit in Oyster Bay - we will visit them all). Learn how to shuck like the professionals and eat oysters straight from the water. You will also get an oyster shucking knife and a dozen to take away with you (practice makes perfect!) Not only that - you get to commune with nature and meet our resident dolphins and seals.

The experience can last up to 2 hours (dependent on tide, wind and weather) and is not suitable for children younger than 12 years.

The Yorke Peninsula is the traditional lands of the Narungga (Nharangga) people, who have lived on, and cared for, this country since the beginning of time. We work, live and travel on Nharannga Banggara [Country], and we take time away from those pursuits to acknowledge and pay our deep respects to the Nharangga Elders of the past and present.

Today, it is essential that we continue to care for and protect our spectacular natural environment. Tread lightly and leave no trace. Learn more about responsible and respectful travel on Yorke Peninsula.
